Sorry
I haven't been here for MONTHS, sorry everyone. Seems like I've been so busy, both kids in school, cub scouts, girl scouts, work, etc. etc. I'll try and do better, I promise :)

Its been a LONG TIME blog......
Ok, life has gotten in the way of my blogging. First my wireless router went down on me, then work got in the way. My Uncle has had a stroke, and I've been keeping him a caringbridge.org site, so that has taken what little free time I've had. I promise to be a better blogger this spring and summer, especially once Uncle Ronnie is on the mend.
For now, if you would like to check in on his caring bridge site, here is the link.
Thanks for caring-see you again real soon.

I'm a bad blogger...
Forgive me-I'll be back real soon, if I ever get my router up and working again.

Some new layouts-
sorry for the bad pics-this cold has my head in a fog
these are all with the new Kenner Road kit from September-so loving what she is doing-of course I added a few vintage game pieces & encyclopedia pages of my own.
The second layout is a photo of my grandfather as an infant-taken in either 1918 or 1919-I have discovered this was the worst months for deaths from the flu ever-so I've been wanting to do a layout highlighting that-when I got this PP Vintage Moon transparency with my KR kit, it just seemed like it fit. The other is a layout of my son being his usual germ-a-phobe self eating without his hands because he couldn't was them at the park :)
I've found my new favorite kits....I think
check out Kenner Road at www.kennerroad.com
I'm so in love with her kits-hope its a success for her!!

Picture Perfect
When I found this quote-I knew I had to use it for this picture. Add to that the old sewing book I found, just itching to have a page ripped out, a price tag, some lace, embroidery floss, and buttons, and you have this layout. Used Daisy D paper & Bazzill cardstock, CI rub-ons. Thanks for looking :)

Another milestone....
well, today is the first day I dropped Asa off at school then I went to work. It seems like he's farther away than ever. I am glad he's liking it, just wish Carlee could've went with him.

Updates...
Asa's back at school today-he threw up again this morning, but seemed ok with going after that.
Carlee kind of has a cold, and I gave her some medicine for it yesterday afternoon-which made her sleepy. She got in the bed and asked me to lay down with her-which I did, then we both fell asleep. When I woke up, Asa had learned to ride his bike by himself with no training wheels. He only got his first bike at the end of June-and had never ridden one before then. Danny said he asked him to take off the training wheels yesterday-and that's all it took-he can fly on it-and so far no scraped knees.

What would you do with one of these???
This came in the mail to me this week from a drug company-advertising for a new anti-fungal (no wonder drugs are so high). I started to put it in the trash, then I thought hey-why not try to use my newly acquired scrapping powers on it!!
It came like this.
It came flat in an envelope-looked like this-it has a flimsy rubber band in the middle the pulls the sides today when it isn't being held flat.
After paper was applied
I cut out the two pieces of paper-I stuck them to the calendar-the edges didn't really look good, so I covered with ribbon-better than nothing.
Then I added some small pics I had taken of the kids yesterday, some Maya Road ribbon and embellishments, random buttons given to me by my Granny, and Making Memories ledger letters.
I traced it while it was flat
then I cut out two pieces of patterned paper to apply to the calendar.
